Credit Meter Program – Commercial

Sometimes all water used does not go down the drain to the sanitary sewer.  Activities including, but not limited to, irrigation and heating/cooling contribute to this non-returnable water. The District has developed a process to install and automatically read Industrial/Commercial/Governmental (ICG) credit meters.  ONLY METERED WATER SERVICES ARE ELIGIBLE.  The use of a credit meter allows the District to credit customers for water that does not go to the sewer.  ICG customers have two options:

Option 1: Pay a yearly fee (amount of fee is based upon meter size) for a credit meter and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) head.  The benefits of having a District ICG credit meter include: 1) your ICG credit meter is automatically and accurately read; 2) the ICG credit meter is installed and maintained by the District.

Option 2: Install your own credit meter and have the District install the AMR head.  The meter must be compatible with the District’s AMR system.  Under this option, there is no yearly fee, but you pay the cost of the meter and installation.  If the meter malfunctions, it will be your responsibility to have it repaired or replaced.  No credit will be given while the meter is not functioning properly.

ICG customers are not eligible for the Summer Usage Period Discount Program.
