The Rock River Water Reclamation District protects public health and the environment through innovative and cost-effective wastewater and solid waste management.
Our 1,100 mile-long network of buried sewers moves wastewater from residences, industrial sites, and other businesses to our treatment plant where we convert waste into resources such as recycled water, energy, and recycled materials.
At our plant, our team of skilled technicians uses the most modern equipment available to reclaim our communities’ wastewater and meet the sanitation needs of the Rockford area. Our fully-equipped sampling group works with industry to help businesses meet water quality standards. Our utility crews maintain and repair sewers and equipment. Our office staff provides responsible and courteous service. Together, the team creates a streamlined system to preserve the water environment and public health for today and for the future.
